Youth exchanges

Youth Exchanges are awesome opportunities for young people to come together from different countries, hang out, and collaborate on cool projects for a short time.

You won’t be stuck in a classroom during a Youth Exchange – it’s all about getting hands-on! You’ll do things like workshops, games, discussions, acting, outdoor adventures, and lots more exciting stuff.

The cool thing is, your learning experience will be recognized with a Youthpass!

Duration

Youth Exchanges typically last from 5 to 21 days, and that doesn’t include travel time.

Who Can Join?

If you’re between 13 and 30, you’re in! If you want to be a group leader, you’ve got to be at least 18.

Who's in Charge?

Youth Exchanges are run by youth organisations, groups of young people, or other cool organizations.

What about the money?

The programme is free of charge, you only have to pay if the travel cost is over the amount that is counted based on distance. So, you can focus on having a blast!

What's Covered?

  • Stay worry-free with insurance coverage.
  • Access helpful services like language support and training.

Important Note: If you’re selected through the Corps portal by an organization funded through the 8 funding programs of the first phase of the European Solidarity Corps, different rules may apply. Be sure to check out the FAQs for details on additional funding programs.
